Role Overview:
The Category Insights Manager directly works with the Large Format National Accounts Sales team in developing customer focused strategies and category-grounded solutions. This individual will conduct high quality analysis and synthesize multiple data sources to generate category selling stories and provide actionable strategic category and shopper recommendations to current and potential Large Format retail partners. Internally, the Category Insights Manager will help drive creative selling stories, channel strategies, and lead/advance internal reporting capabilities for the Sales teams and Executive leadership team. Data tools include syndicated scan and shopper panel metrics (Circana Unify, SPINS, Nielsen, Numerator, and retailer scan/loyalty data including Kroger 84.51°).
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead identification and communication of data driven insights into actionable solutions regarding product, pricing, distribution, placement, and promotions.
- Utilize research and data analysis, transform data into direct, comprehensible, and creative category and shopper centric presentations
- Collaborate with Sales team to identify and provide actionable opportunities that are mutually beneficial for Liquid Death and retail partners
- Lead and advance internal reporting solutions for the Sales team, allowing for efficient and impactful analysis of syndicated data
- Use category and shopper expertise to make shelf and assortment recommendations to improve the category shopping experience at the retailer
- Lead and present category reviews to provide an in-depth understanding of category performance, opportunities, and changing shopper behaviors
- Inform and direct impactful strategies for the category through productive relationships internally and externally
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or a related business field preferred
- A minimum of 5+ years of relatable experience in consumer goods, retail, or syndicated data with a focus on Category Management, Shopper Insights, or business analytics
- Retailer facing experience with a track record of building collaborative partnerships
- Extensive experience understanding and utilizing syndicated data, panel data, and customer POS data (Circana, Spins, Nielsen, and Numerator) required
- The ability to refine complex data into simple yet impactful stories
- Advanced Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) skills including pivot tables, slicers, and formulas to automate and contribute to reporting
- Strong planning/organization; the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, rapid growth,start-up environment
- Working knowledge of retailer merchandising and in-store execution tactics to drive category growth
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides) preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed

Brand Messaging: Educate distributors on the Liquid Death brand narrative to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent in Business or Sales Marketing
- 4+ years of relatable Regional Sales Management, Territory Sales, or Distributor Partner Management experience within the Beverage and Distributor Sales Environment where strategic planning (to include KPI tracking, market analysis, and using data-driven insights) to identify growth opportunities were critical to success
- 2+ years of experience in the Detroit metro Michigan area beverage industry / CPG strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience displaying leadership skills preferred
- Proficiency working in VIP, Karma, Excel, PowerPoint required
- Strong capability in data analysis and reporting preferred (IRI, and Nielsen)
- Strong presentation skills (both written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging, clear presentations to diverse audiences)
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean motor vehicle record (MVR): with no major violations
- Safely operate personal vehicle to fulfill work-related duties; this position involves driving a personal vehicle for work-related purposes
- Up to 40% field based travel with some overnight stays required

On Premise Marketing Manager, East
The On-Premise Marketing Manager, East role is responsible for identifying and marketing top accounts in each territory to drive volume. It’s a relationship-focused role that works closely with key distribution partners to market and sell Liquid Death products.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Effective management of national accounts and chains
- Identifying key independent accounts in each territory to grow volume and brand visibility to include bar chains, hotels, casinos, and iconic, high volume venues
- Presenting to Distributor partners and to internal stakeholders on a monthly basis

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or another related field preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years in a relatable On Premise marketing role within the beverage industry where relationship development, analytical thinking, and using data driven insights to grow brand visibility were critical to success required
- A proven track record of success in selling to on-premise accounts and a deep understanding of the beverage industry
- Previous experience reading analytical reports and data analysis experience required (VIP software experience preferred)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Advanced PowerPoint skills to build and drive presentations weekly
- Excellent negotiator & influencer, preferably with distribution partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time with the ability to work nights and weekends

Quality and Productivity Manager
Liquid Death is looking for a Quality and Productivity Manager with proven experience in supporting Quality, Food Safety, and Supply Chain Productivity Programs. This position will need to play an integral role in building Liquid Death’s first internal Quality and Productivity programs, providing the analytics to deliver against our quality and productivity requirements, maintain our quality requirements in compliance with Quality & Food Safety Standards, and engage with our external supplier chain partners (co-manufacturers, suppliers, 3PLs, transportation carriers) to resolve quality and productivity issues. This includes, but is not limited to, raw material ingredients, packaging, product testing, and managing Liquid Death’s co-manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for working with third party manufacturers (TPMs) and Suppliers to
ensure that all Liquid Death products are produced consistently and meet Liquid
Death’s standards of quality, including raw materials, packaging, and finished
Products
- Productivity Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Engaging in External Benchmarking to support 3-year productivity roadmap covering Supply Chain - Operations Expense, COGS
- Reporting on progress against productivity goals to cover Monthly Business Reviews and Board Reviews
- Support root cause analysis with Supply Chain team for continuous improvement
- Will collaborate with the Supply Chain team and lead process implementations to drive cost savings and process improvements
- Manage, design, implement, and improve supply chain, operations, and quality control procedures and documentation (to include Retailer documentation requests, master data (spec sheets), manufacturing requirements, 3PL requirements, Supplier requirements) and ensure all TPMs and suppliers are compliant and meet specified requirements
- Perform periodic audits with TPMs to ensure all certifications are up to date (i.e. SQF, State Licenses, etc) and will manage all records, documentation, test results, licenses and certifications
- Lead investigations of productivity and quality-related incidents or deviations, identifying root causes and recommending and implementing corrective actions
- Work closely with the customer service team to answer, evaluate, and investigate quality related consumer complaints
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, quality or a related discipline preferred but not required
- A minimum of 5+ years of relatable experience managing third party manufacturers or in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated history of success implementing quality processes, procedures, food safety and quality related consumer complaints, as well as experience completing root cause analysis and statistical process control
- Canning packaging quality experience preferred and previous beverage formulation and manufacturing experience required
- Knowledge of and experience with FDA FSMA Good Manufacturing Practices 21 CFR Part 117 required
- Prior experience with an ERP system(s) and prior recall and food traceability experience required
- Detailed understanding of SQF (safe quality food) and other GFSI (global food safety initiative) audit schemes
- A high level of cross-functional collaboration and influence, both internally and externally, in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Familiarity with FDA guidelines and similar regulations
- Working knowledge of bottle water regulations, food testing protocols, methodologies, and microbiological issues in food and beverage
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
- Must be located within 30 miles of a major metropolitan area airport
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% as needed (must be located within 30 miles of a major metropolitan area airport)
