Category Insights Manager, Large Format



Role Overview:

The Category Insights Manager directly works with the Large Format National Accounts Sales team in developing customer focused strategies and category-grounded solutions. This individual will conduct high quality analysis and synthesize multiple data sources to generate category selling stories and provide actionable strategic category and shopper recommendations to current and potential Large Format retail partners. Internally, the Category Insights Manager will help drive creative selling stories, channel strategies, and lead/advance internal reporting capabilities for the Sales teams and Executive leadership team. Data tools include syndicated scan and shopper panel metrics (Circana Unify, SPINS, Nielsen, Numerator, and retailer scan/loyalty data including Kroger 84.51°).


Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Lead identification and communication of data driven insights into actionable solutions regarding product, pricing, distribution, placement, and promotions. 
  • Utilize research and data analysis, transform data into direct, comprehensible, and creative category and shopper centric presentations
  • Collaborate with Sales team to identify and provide actionable opportunities that are mutually beneficial for Liquid Death and retail partners
  • Lead and advance internal reporting solutions for the Sales team, allowing for efficient and impactful analysis of syndicated data
  • Use category and shopper expertise to make shelf and assortment recommendations to improve the category shopping experience at the retailer
  • Lead and present category reviews to provide an in-depth understanding of category performance, opportunities, and changing shopper behaviors
  • Inform and direct impactful strategies for the category through productive relationships internally and externally

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or a related business field preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relatable experience in consumer goods, retail, or syndicated data with a focus on Category Management, Shopper Insights, or business analytics
  • Retailer facing experience with a track record of building collaborative partnerships
  • Extensive experience understanding and utilizing syndicated data, panel data, and customer POS data (Circana, Spins, Nielsen, and Numerator) required 
  • The ability to refine complex data into simple yet impactful stories
  • Advanced Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) skills including pivot tables, slicers, and formulas to automate and contribute to reporting
  • Strong planning/organization; the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, rapid growth,start-up environment
  • Working knowledge of retailer merchandising and in-store execution tactics to drive category growth
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides) preferred 
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed 

Additional preferred skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of space planning methodologies and software
  • Expert-level understanding of the Kroger 84.51° retailer gateway
  • Experience in non-alcoholic packaged beverage
  • Experience across multiple retailer channels (Food, Mass, and Amazon)

The typical salary range for this position is: $95,000-$110,000

On Premise Marketing Manager, East



The On-Premise Marketing Manager, East role is responsible for identifying and marketing top accounts in each territory to drive volume.  It’s a relationship-focused role that works closely with key distribution partners to market and sell Liquid Death products.


Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Effective management of national accounts and chains
  • Identifying key independent accounts in each territory to grow volume and brand visibility to include bar chains, hotels, casinos, and iconic, high volume venues 
  • Presenting to Distributor partners and to internal stakeholders on a monthly basis 
  • Crafting RFP’s for national account chain relationships
  • Building effective programming (programming for accounts and programming for distribution)
  • Identify and discern high volume, on brand accounts in each territory 
  • Work with distribution partners to lead incentive programs and participate in ABPs (Annual Business Plans) to drive sales
  • Analyze data within VIP to spot market trends and support brand growth within the on-premise channel in each territory
  • Use Liquid Death guidelines to align on-premise short and long-term strategies with the company’s overall business hyper growth goals 
  • Develop and execute fun and engaging marketing tactics such as on-site events, sampling, sweepstakes, and giveaways


Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or another related field preferred 
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a relatable On Premise marketing role within the beverage industry where relationship development, analytical thinking, and using data driven insights to grow brand visibility were critical to success required 
  • A proven track record of success in selling to on-premise accounts and a deep understanding of the beverage industry
  • Previous experience reading analytical reports and data analysis experience required (VIP software experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills 
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills to build and drive presentations weekly 
  • Excellent negotiator & influencer, preferably with distribution partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Regional Distributor Manager (New York Territory)



Role Overview:

The Regional Distributor Manager role is a key leadership role, leading a team of 4 to drive distributor and territory-level strategies, to drive mutual growth, to optimize performance, and to ensure successful execution of both national and regional sales initiatives. In this role, you will own distributor P&Ls, manage key account relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to influence broader go to market strategy and deliver impactful sales results.  


Role Responsibilities: 

  • Set strategy at the territory and distributor level to drive mutual growth and achieve sales targets
  • Own the distributor engagement model, including business planning, review cycles (e.g., monthly and quarterly business reviews as well as annual business planning), and national chain selling strategies within the territory
  • Lead the entire market by owning the relationship with the key distributor stakeholders and implementing distributor incentive programs to drive performance
  • Oversee national and regional key account execution, including point of sale (POS) allocation, new item setups, and dealer loader programs
  • Collaborate with key account teams to drive in-store execution
  • Ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet market demand and avoid stock-outs
  • Internal cross collaboration with Sales Analytics, Operations, Marketing and Finance teams to manage item setups, pricing, forecasting, and inventory planning
  • Lead and develop Sales Execution Manager and Field Sales Representative(s) in market acting as a change agent, inspiring both direct reports and distributors to adopt new behaviors and mindsets for long-term success
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors within the territory, managing local regional chain relationships


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of beverage company experience in a relatable role where distributor management, sales, and/or key account management were critical to success 
  • Direct store delivery (DSD) experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint), Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) preferred 
  • Previous experience working with VIP required, knowledge of IRI, Nielsen, and/or Power BI 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit (forward thinker, owner mentality) with willingness to adapt to company changes to meet company hyper growth needs 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets
  • Must possess a valid driver license and have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major violations required 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet the high field based travel needs of the role: 
    • Statewide travel as needed to support priority distributor markets 
    • Once a quarter cross market blitzes (will go to another state to support sales blitz activity as needed)

Regional Distributor Specialist (Great Lakes Region)



Role Overview:

The Regional Distributor Specialist is responsible for leading distributor and territory-level strategies to drive mutual growth, optimize performance, and ensure successful execution of both national and regional sales initiatives.  In this role, you will own distributor P&Ls, manage key account relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to influence broader GTM strategy and deliver impactful sales results.


Reporting to the General Sales Manager, this key role will be cross collaborating as a part of a 4 member team to grow sales in the market territory by: 


  • Fostering distribution growth through business development activities such as meeting with key distributor partners, leading and conducting monthly business reviews, weekly gap reporting, and inventory management
  • Managing smaller key account retailer relationships to drive sales volume and points of distribution
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales Analytics, and other internal teams to support distributor performance and P&L management.
  • Working closely with Regional Distributor Manager and Key Account team members to cross collaborate on key projects and upleveling distributor performance (partnership strategy design)
  • Manage distributor P&Ls, including bill-backs and other financial components, to ensure profitability and sustainable growth


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience working in a relatable distributor management role within the beverage / consumer product goods industry where building and maintaining relationships with key accounts and distributor partners was critical to growth required
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies at both the territory and distributor levels

Sales Execution Manager (Mid-Atlantic Territory)

The Sales Execution Manager (SEM) role is your opportunity to be a driving force behind sales success. Responsibilities:

Distributor Partnership Management:

  • Benchmark and establish clear expectations for DP performance

Data Analysis & Forecasting: Use VIP data to track distributor performance and support accurate purchase order forecasting.

KPI & Performance Tracking: Support the management of key performance indicators related to distributor sales growth and in-store execution.

P&L Management: Create accurate and timely forecasts for case volume, spending & profitability.

Merchandiser Training & Development (If Applicable): Lead training for Merchandiser(s) to enhance selling capabilities and market readiness. Manage training programs for merchandisers to ensure effective product placement and promotional execution. 

Brand Messaging: Educate distributors on the Liquid Death brand narrative to ensure clear and consistent messaging.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent in Business or Sales Marketing
  • 4+ years of relatable Regional Sales Management, Territory Sales, or Distributor Partner Management experience within the Beverage and Distributor Sales Environment where strategic planning (to include KPI tracking, market analysis, and using data-driven insights) to identify growth opportunities were critical to success
  • 2+ years of experience in beverage industry / CPG strongly preferred 
  • 2+ years of experience displaying leadership skills preferred
  • Proficiency working in VIP, Karma, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Strong capability in data analysis and reporting preferred (IRI, and Nielsen)
